Key Features

Built for Decking The Simpson Strong-Tie QDPRO300SG2 Quik Drive PRO300SG2 Decking Attachment is made to drive collated decking screws with consistent countersink and cleaner placement, especially on slick deck surfaces where hand driving can wander. More Consistent Starts A sure-grip guide tube adds stability while driving. That helps keep the screw line under control and reduces the little slips that slow down decking work. Handles Dense Boards Expanded depth settings let you adjust for high-density flooring and decking materials, so you can tune the countersink instead of fighting overdriven or proud screws.

Overview

The Simpson Strong-Tie QDPRO300SG2 Quik Drive PRO300SG2 Decking Attachment is a collated screw driving attachment built for deck fastening and similar screw-down flooring work. This is a decking attachment designed for fastening decking and flooring materials with collated screws. Model Number: QDPRO300SG2. If you want faster screw placement with more uniform depth than driving individual screws by hand, this is the kind of setup that earns its keep.

What matters here is control. Simpson calls out expanded depth settings for high-density flooring materials, and that is a real-world feature, not brochure filler. Different deck boards and dense materials do not all take a screw the same way. Being able to fine-tune depth helps you hit a cleaner countersink and avoid the stop-and-fix routine that comes from screws sitting too high or getting buried too deep.

The guide tube is another practical piece of the design. On decking, especially on smoother or slicker surfaces, the first instant of contact matters. The sure-grip guide tube is meant to increase stability across a broad range of screws, which helps keep the tool tracking where you want it. That translates to straighter runs, more predictable placement, and less time correcting alignment.

Simpson also built this attachment with non-skid teeth that are reversible and replaceable. That is the kind of detail pros notice because wear points are what determine how long an attachment stays useful on the job. Reversible and replaceable parts mean the contact point can keep doing its job instead of turning into a weak link once it starts to wear down.

For deck builders and contractors already using the Quik Drive system, the QDPRO300SG2 fits into a broader platform instead of working as a one-off tool. According to the product data, it is available alone or as part of the PRO300SG2, PROSDD, and PROCCS+ systems. That matters if you are building out a fastening setup around Quik Drive accessories, extensions, and compatible screwdriver motors rather than piecing together something improvised.

There is also a clear jobsite benefit in the Quik Drive cordless approach called out in the product information: more screws per battery charge with low-torque fasteners, and no need for compressors, generators, or external power to run fastening equipment. That keeps the setup simpler, especially on decks, docks, porches, and exterior work where dragging hoses or setting up extra equipment slows the day down.

This attachment makes the most sense for deck builders, remodelers, and serious DIY users who are driving a lot of decking screws and care about repeatable results. If you are only building one small platform once every few years, it may be more tool than you need. If you are laying boards regularly and want speed, consistent depth, and cleaner workflow, it is a smart add-on to the Quik Drive system.

Keep Screw Depth Consistent

On decking, the finish is only as good as the consistency of the screw set. This attachment is built to help you drive screw after screw to a more uniform countersink, which is exactly what you want when the surface is exposed and every fastener line shows.

• Expanded depth settings are intended for high-density flooring materials
• Designed to provide uniform toenailing and countersink on slick surfaces

Get Better Control on Slick Surfaces

Fastening on coated, composite, or smoother deck surfaces can expose every little wiggle. The guide tube and adjustable setup are there to keep the tool planted and the screw path more predictable so you spend more time driving and less time correcting.

• Sure-grip guide tube increases stability across a broad range of screws
• Adjustment feature supports fine tuning for material density and desired finish

Built to Stay Useful Longer

Wear parts matter on any high-cycle fastening setup. Simpson includes reversible and replaceable non-skid teeth so the contact point can be maintained instead of treated like a throwaway part once it starts wearing down.

• Non-skid teeth are reversible
• Non-skid teeth are replaceable for continued service

Pro Tip

Before you start a full run, test the depth setting on a scrap piece of the same decking material. Dense boards and slick surfaces can change how the screw seats, and dialing it in first saves a lot of touch-up later.
